Commonfund adds Managing Director to Risk Management team


Vivian Lee-Shiue joins Commonfund Risk Management function from GE Commercial

 

WILTON, CT, September 28, 2007 – Commonfund, the nation’s largest investment management firm devoted exclusively to nonprofit investors today announced the hiring of former GE Commercial –Senior Vice President: Risk Systems and Analytics, Vivian Lee-Shiue. 

 

In announcing Vivian’s appointment, Commonfund President and CEO, Verne O. Sedlacek commented that “in today’s market environment and especially with the nature of our nonprofit client’s perpetual investments, an organization can never be too strong in its Risk Management function.

 

Commonfund also announced that Ms. Lee-Shiue will become interim group Head of Risk Management replacing Andrew Kandiew who has left to pursue new career opportunities.

 

Prior to joining GE, Ms. Lee-Shiue worked in similar positions at JPMorganChase and Capco. Ms. Lee-Shiue has earned a BA from the University of Chicago and her MBA from Cornell.
