Commonfund Adds to Senior Management Team

Commonfund is pleased to announce the appointment of Gene Ferguson as Chief Service and Sales Officer, and President of Commonfund Securities, Inc.

Gene joins Commonfund with extensive experience in marketable, marketable alternative and private capital investments and strategies.  Additionally, in developing holistic relationships with his many clients, Gene has provided insightful solutions in the areas of investment policy, asset allocation and spending policy development.

“Commonfund’s mission is to improve the investment management practices and financial resources of the nonprofit community.  Gene’s experience is a perfect fit.  Many of our clients already know him from his prior work with nonprofits” said Commonfund President and CEO, Verne Sedlacek.

Most recently Gene spent four years at AIG Global Investment Group.  Prior to that Gene was at Forstmann-Leff International and Salomon Brothers Asset Management Company. Gene began his career by spending 15 years at IBM in the client service area.
