In 2009, the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) and Commonfund Institute combined their respective endowment studies to create the NACUBO-Commonfund Study of Endowments (NCSE). The Commonfund Institute also conducts its own comprehensive Benchmarks Study surveys of financial, governance and policy practices at foundations, operating charities and health care institutions. The results of the NCSE and the Benchmarks Studies are made available to the nonprofit community as part of the Institute’s educational mission.
