Earlier this month we hosted our 25th Commonfund Forum in Boca Raton, Florida. In celebration and acknowledgment of Black History Month, we hosted a breakfast discussion with a distinguished group of presidents from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to share their extensive experience addressing the opportunities and challenges of leading these institutions.
Our discussion was wide-ranging, covering topics including building the necessary infrastructure, creating career and financial pathways, and initiatives to both preserve and grow the important missions of HBCUs. Commonfund Institute’s Executive Director, George Suttles, moderated the panel; Dr. Tony Allen, President, Delaware State University; Dr. David Hall, President, University of the Virgin Islands; Dr. David A. Thomas, President, Morehouse College and Commonfund Trustee.
