Instead, 24 months later, the public equity markets have performed surprisingly well. Unprecedented support from governments, combined with accelerated adoption of technology and innovation has powered many parts of the economy through periods of start and stop progress. Labor markets are recovering too, even as some industries continue to struggle. And, inflationary pressures have emerged as supply chains remain challenged.
