If someone had told you in January of 2020 that the world would be plunged into a global pandemic the likes of which had not been seen since 1918, you probably would have guessed that the impacts on the economy and markets would be devastating. Instead, 24 months later, the public equity markets have performed surprisingly well. Unprecedented support from governments, combined with accelerated adoption of technology and innovation has powered many parts of the economy through periods of start and stop progress. Labor markets are recovering too, even as some industries continue to struggle. And, inflationary pressures have emerged as supply chains remain challenged.

Commonfund Forum 2022 featured an expert panel representing diverse perspectives to probe beyond the headline-grabbing news that has been driving financial markets in recent months. The accompanying video provides a front row seat for this vibrant exchange.

Speakers: Sue Herera, Anchor-at-Large and special contributor, CNBC; Julia Coronado, Founder and President at MacroPolicy Perspectives; Vikram Mansharamani, Global Trend-Watcher, Harvard University Lecturer, Author & Investor

Moderators: Amy Harlacker, Managing Director at Commonfund Asset Management; Mark Anson, CEO and CIO at Commonfund
